What is Fostering Bright Futures?

Fostering Bright Futures is a comprehensive program designed to support young adults who have experienced foster care as they transition to independence. The program typically provides resources such as academic advising, mentoring, life skills training, and financial assistance to help participants achieve their educational and career goals. Its aim is to empower foster youth by offering guidance and support that address their unique challenges, ultimately helping them build successful and fulfilling lives.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, cultural competence, and the ability to motivate and advocate for at-risk youth are highly valued. Come Join Ebenezer Child Care Centers as a Lead Teacher!
We're a 5-Star Program committed to excellence in early childhood education. With locations in downtown Milwaukee, Bay View, Brookfield, Oak Creek, South Milwaukee, Waukesha and West Allis, we proudly serve infants through school-age children. As a leading non-profit provider in Milwaukee County, we're dedicated to fostering curiosity, imagination, and a lifelong love of learning.
At Ebenezer, our educators use the E.P.I.C. Curriculum to encourage independence, creativity, and exploration. If you're a dynamic teacher who loves to lead and inspire, we'd love to meet you!
About the Role:
As a Lead Teacher, you'll be the heart of the classroom, designing and implementing innovative lesson plans, fostering meaningful connections with children and families, and mentoring your team to ensure a high-quality learning experience for all. Your leadership will shape a nurturing, exciting environment where children and teachers alike can thrive.
Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with our E.P.I.C. Curriculum.
  • Foster a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel confident to explore and grow.
  • Mentor and collaborate with Assistant Teachers, ensuring seamless teamwork and high standards of care.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with families through open communication and regular updates.
  • Observe, assess, and document children's progress to tailor learning experiences and share insights with parents.
  • Maintain an organized and exciting classroom, filled with materials that spark curiosity.
  • Model professional behavior and inspire a culture of excellence and positivity.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and center policies.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (or an Associate's Degree with significant experience).
  • Previous experience as a Lead Teacher or equivalent leadership role in early childhood education.
  • Strong understanding of child development and best practices in education.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Positive, creative, and flexible approach to teaching.
  • Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
  • Clear background check, health screening, and TB test.

Why You'll Love Leading at Ebenezer
  • Every Day Is an Adventure! Be at the center of curiosity and discovery.
  • Child Care Discounts: Bring your little ones to work!
  • Professional Growth: Tuition reimbursement, paid training, and mentoring opportunities.
  • Work-Life Balance: Generous PTO, paid holidays, and life insurance fully covered by us.
  • Full Benefits Package: Health, dental, and vision insurance + retirement plan with a 3% match.
  • Leadership Support: Coaching and professional development to help you excel in your role.
  • Team Bonding: Enjoy outings, activities, and rewards for your hard work.
