Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and organized Learning & Development Intern to support employee training initiatives and the continued rollout of our Learning Management System (LMS).

This internship provides hands-on experience in employee development, onboarding, training systems, and learning content organization within a manufacturing environment. The intern will assist with organizing training materials, supporting onboarding initiatives, improving the learner experience, and helping structure training content used across the organization.

This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that directly impact how employees learn, develop, and succeed at Gasser Chair.

Internship Details

  • Duration: Summer 2026
  • Schedule: Approximately 20โ€“25 hours per week
  • Location: On-site in Youngstown, OH
  • Job Type: Seasonal (Temporary), Part-time
  • Tuition Reimbursement: Upon successful completion internship you will be eligible for a $2,500 tuition reimbursement/educational assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with organizing and maintaining training content within the company's LMS
  • Support development and organization of onboarding and employee training materials
  • Help structure learning paths, catalogs, and training assignments within the LMS
  • Assist in converting policies, SOPs, and existing documents into training-friendly learning content
  • Upload and manage training documents, videos, and resources within the LMS platform
  • Support creation of quizzes, checkpoints, and learner engagement materials
  • Assist with tracking training completion data and generating reports
  • Collaborate with department leaders and subject matter experts to support training initiatives across operations
  • Help identify opportunities to improve training organization, usability, and overall learner experience

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to organize information in a clear and user-friendly manner
