En collaboration avec le technologiste senior en R&D, vous participerez à des projets concrets liés au développement de produits et à l’amélioration continue. Ce rôle offre une belle exposition aux aspects techniques et commerciaux de l’entreprise, dans un environnement en croissance.

Résumé du poste


Ce poste apporte un soutien administratif et pratique au ou à la technologiste senior en R&D. Vous participerez à la préparation de mélanges, à la vérification des spécifications internes et externes pour les clients, ainsi qu’au suivi des tâches nécessaires. Le rôle inclut aussi la documentation, la collecte de données et le soutien aux activités de recherche, d’innovation et de développement de produits afin d’assurer la qualité et la conformité des produits.


Responsabilités

  • Offrir un soutien au ou à la technologiste senior en R&D dans les activités de développement et de tests
  • Préparer et maintenir la documentation (spécifications, formules, résultats de tests)
  • Participer aux essais en laboratoire et en production (pilotes et premiers lots)
  • Contribuer à la mise à l’échelle des produits du laboratoire à la production
  • Participer à l’amélioration des produits existants selon le marché et les commentaires clients
  • Suivre les tendances du marché et les besoins des consommateurs pour soutenir l’innovation
  • Réaliser des essais et analyser les données pour valider la performance des produits
  • Participer aux tests sensoriels et à l’évaluation des produits
  • Collaborer avec les équipes de production, qualité et ventes
  • Formation fournie


Qualifications

  • Diplôme en sciences des aliments ou domaine connexe
  • 1 à 2 ans d’expérience en fabrication alimentaire, contrôle qualité ou R&D (atout)
  • Connaissance des normes de salubrité alimentaire (HACCP / GMP)
  • Bon esprit d’analyse et souci du détail
  • Bonnes habiletés en résolution de problèmes
  • Capacité à travailler de façon autonome et en équipe
  • Bonnes aptitudes en communication et collaboration
  • Maîtrise de la suite MS Office
  • Connaissance de Genesis (ou système similaire) un atout
  • Bilinguisme français/anglais un atout

We are looking for an R&D Technician to join our growing team. Working closely with the Senior R&D Technologist, you will participate in hands-on projects related to product development and continuous improvement. This role offers strong exposure to both the technical and commercial sides of the business within a growing environment.

Location: Baie d'Urfé, QC

Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.


JOB SUMMARY

This role will provide administrative and hands-on support to the Senior R&D Technologist. You will assist with preparing mixes, verifying internal and external specifications for clients, and conducting necessary follow-up tasks. The position involves documentation, data collection, and support for research, innovation, and product development activities to ensure product quality, consistency, and alignment with client requirements.


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Provide administrative support to the Senior R&D Technologist across product development and testing activities.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including internal and external specifications, formulation records, and test results to ensure compliance
  • Support laboratory and production trials, including pilot runs and first production batches.
  • Assist with product scale-up from lab formulation to production implementation.
  • Participate in the improvement of existing products based on market needs, customer feedback, and technological advancements.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and consumer needs to support new product development and innovation.
  • Conduct experiments, product trials, and data analysis to validate product performance and consistency.
  • Assist in sensory evaluation and product testing activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and marketing/sales.
  • Training will be provided.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Degree in Food Science or related field
  • 1–2 years of experience in food manufacturing, quality control, or product development (preferred)
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP / GMP)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Familiarity with Genesis (or similar systems) is an asset
  • Bilingual (French/English) is an asset
