PushCorp, a subsidiary of WALTER Surface Technologies, based in Dallas Texas is a leading designer and manufacturer of force compliance, material removal, and end-of-arm tooling solutions for industrial robotics. Since 1993, PushCorp has helped manufacturers automate demanding finishing processes across industries ranging from aerospace and automotive to composites and advanced manufacturing. We work with some of the largest manufacturers in the world to deploy our technology and perform applications such as weld grinding, surface finishing, deburring, trimming, sanding, and polishing with unmatched consistency and performance.

At PushCorp, engineers don't just design components, they develop complete automation solutions. From solving real customer challenges to designing, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and deploying products in the field, our engineers are involved throughout the entire product development lifecycle. If you're passionate about building innovative products, working hands-on, and seeing your designs make an impact in the real world, you'll thrive on our team.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Our Mechanical Engineering team develops next-generation robotic end-of-arm tooling used in some of the world's most demanding manufacturing environments. Engineers work with electrical engineering, controls, manufacturing, and applications teams to transform customer challenges into production-ready solutions.

This is a highly collaborative, hands-on environment where you'll own projects from concept through deployment. Whether designing precision mechanisms, building prototypes, or validating products alongside customers, you'll have the opportunity to see your ideas become reality.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and robotic tooling systems from concept through production.
  • Own product development throughout the complete engineering lifecycle, including concept generation, CAD design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and customer deployment.
  • Collaborate with electrical, controls, manufacturing, and applications engineers to develop integrated automation solutions.
  • Create detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and documentation for production.
  • Design, build, and evaluate prototypes using rapid prototyping technologies, including 3D printing and in-house fabrication.
  • Conduct engineering analysis, product validation, and performance testing to ensure reliability in demanding industrial environments.
  • Participate in design reviews and continuously improve product designs for manufacturability, reliability, and cost.
  • Support manufacturing, production, and customer installations as new products transition into the field.
  • Work directly with customers to understand application requirements and develop innovative automation solutions.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience designing mechanical systems using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design fundamentals, including mechanisms, structures, materials, and manufacturing processes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience creating production-quality engineering drawings and documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative engineering solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced engineering environment.
  • Experience designing products for industrial automation or robotics.
  • Familiarity with CNC machining, sheet metal, and additive manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and 3D printing.
  • Understanding of servo systems, pneumatics, sensors, and electromechanical assemblies.
  • Experience supporting products through manufacturing and customer implementation.
  • Experience working directly with customers to develop technical solutions.
  • Passion for hands-on engineering, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Experience leading or working on an engineering competition team, i.e. Formula SAE, Baja SAE, RoboSub, Combat Robotics or similar

WHY PUSHCORP

  • Own complete product designs, not just individual components.
  • See your ideas progress from concept sketches to deployed solutions.
  • Work on cutting-edge robotic automation technologies across diverse industries.
