Job description

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Talent team is responsible for building the leadership bench that powers Anduril's mission. Executive Recruiting owns the searches that shape the company's most senior commercial, technical, and operational hires. Growth is one of the highest-leverage functions we recruit for, given its role in identifying, shaping, and capturing multi-year, multi-billion-dollar Programs of Record across DoD, the Intelligence Community, and allied services. The Executive Recruiter, Growth sits at the intersection of these two functions, running the searches that build Anduril's Growth leadership across every Division.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for an Executive Recruiter, Growth to join our team in Washington, DC. In this role, you will be responsible for owning executive hiring across Anduril's Growth function, including Heads of Growth, Capture Directors, and senior Business Development leaders. You will partner directly with Anduril's leadership team to run full-cycle searches, build a proprietary network of senior cleared defense talent, and represent Anduril credibly to candidates at the general officer, senior acquisition, and executive industry levels. This will require deep working knowledge of the DoD acquisition ecosystem, established relationships across the ex-military-turned-industry community, and the executive presence to drive process alongside C-level stakeholders. If you are someone who can operate with autonomy, build the systems that turn founder-led referrals into a rigorous pipeline, and earn trust quickly with senior candidates, this role is for you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Run full-cycle executive search for Growth leadership hires at the Business Line and Division level, owning sourcing, assessment, slate quality, offer strategy, and close.
  • Partner with senior Growth executives and General Managers to translate business strategy into search strategy and calibrate candidate profiles.
  • Build and maintain a proprietary network of senior, cleared defense talent, including former general and flag officers, senior acquisition professionals, and commercial leaders across the defense technology ecosystem.
  • Represent Anduril credibly to senior executive candidates and act as the first meaningful point of contact for candidates evaluating Anduril at the executive level.
  • Own the data and reporting for Growth executive search, including pipeline health, time-to-fill, slate quality, and offer close rates, and drive process improvements across the function.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Deep experience placing or hiring senior commercial leadership. Both executive search backgrounds and equivalent senior operating experience with demonstrated hiring judgment will be considered.
  • Working knowledge of the DoD acquisition ecosystem and the career pathways between military service, government, and defense industry commercial leadership.
  • Established relationships across the community of ex-military-turned-industry senior leaders, with the ability to earn trust quickly with candidates at the O-6, general and flag officer, SES, and senior industry executive levels.
  • Executive presence and stakeholder management strong enough to work directly with C-level executives and Business Line General Managers who expect the recruiter to drive process, not just execute intake.
  • A builder and an owner, willing to put in the work across all aspects of the function, effectively prioritize actions, and own outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn, undeterred by a long, steep climb to understand technology, programs, and customer nuance.
  • Based in Washington, DC with ability to be in office 4 days a week.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior in-house executive recruiting experience at a defense technology company or venture-backed high-growth company.
  • Prior retained search experience with a strong defense or aerospace practice.
  • Understanding of executive compensation structures and equity design in both federal and technology contexts.
  • Prior experience placing former general or flag officers, or candidates transitioning from military service into industry commercial leadership.
