Assistant General Manager

Full-Time | 4 Days/Week | Benefits + Bonus Potential

Lead with Purpose - and Enjoy a 4-Day Workweek!

We're looking for a driven, reliable, and hospitality-minded leader to join our team as an Assistant General Manager at Firehouse Subs.

This is your opportunity to step into a leadership role with a brand that values community, excellence, and teamwork - while enjoying the balance of a consistent 4-day, full-time schedule. You'll play a key role in shift performance, team development, and guest satisfaction - all while working toward full Assistant General Manager (AGM) certification and bonus eligibility.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and support crew members in delivering fast, friendly, and accurate service
  • Ensure food quality, safety, cleanliness, and brand standards are consistently met
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, and waste reduction
  • Manage shift scheduling, labor control, and operational reporting
  • Coach, train, and develop team members to foster a performance-driven environment
  • Step up during staffing gaps to open, close, or extend shifts when needed
  • Support local store marketing and community outreach

Position Details

  • Workweek: 4 days per week (full-time hours)
  • Typical Shift: 9:15 AM - 7:45 PM
  • Flex Hours: Up to 45 hours/week based on operational needs
  • Overtime: Paid at 1.5x hourly rate for hours beyond 40/week
  • Reports To: General Manager or District Manager
  • Job Type: Full-Time | Hourly | Non-Exempt

What We're Looking For

  • 1-2 years of restaurant leadership experience (Shift Lead, Assistant Manager, etc.)
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for guest service and team development
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak business hours
  • SERV Safe Food Manager Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
