We are seeking Automotive Technicians for our operations in Novi, MI
The Automotive Technician is responsible for inspection, repair and diagnostic services. You will work on computer systems diagnosis, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical/electrical component replacement. You must have the ability to explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include other associates and customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verify BOM with parts received
- Identify any parts that could be incorrect or damaged
- Tear down (disassemble) base vehicles.
- Retrofit vehicles for the P42S consisting of the following changing parts:
Interior: Console, IP Main Harness, complete interior
Chassis: ABS/VDC actuator, tires
Exterior: Fascia, FR Bumper, Lamps
Qualification/Requirement:
- Current driver's license; clean driving record.
- Pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Work assigned schedule which may include multiple shifts, weekends and holidays
- Arrive to work on time, work overtime when required.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferably Have experience with OEM.
- Computer skills required.
- Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Working knowledge of shop equipment such as diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.).
Experience/Education:
- ASE certified, or Associate degree in Automotive, or equivalent.
- 1+ years of automotive technician experience.
Environmental Requirements:
- Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise.
- Some duties performed outside in all weather conditions.
- This is a physically demanding position.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, move products, equipment and supplies up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
- Must be able to work at heights up to 20-25 feet.
- Regularly stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours.
