Job Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment in a food manufacturing facility. This role ensures that products are produced efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and adjust food processing and packaging machinery according to production requirements
  • Monitor equipment performance to ensure consistent product quality and output
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on machines
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and report major malfunctions to maintenance or supervisors
  • Follow all food safety regulations, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and sanitation procedures
  • Maintain accurate production records, logs, and reports
  • Ensure proper handling, measuring, and loading of raw materials
  • Keep work area clean and organized in accordance with sanitation standards
  • Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and quality control staff
  • Adhere to all workplace safety policies and procedures

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED (preferred)
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery
  • Ability to read and follow instructions, recipes, and safety guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
