Job description

Ideal for a licensed journeyman plumber or sole proprietor looking to build their business with the support of being part of an established, women-owned company with an ongoing book of business.

START DATE: May 18, 2026

COMPENSATION: $55/HOUR + COMMISSION AND BONUS OPPORTUNITY

Full-time / Four 10s: Monday - Thursday 7:00 am PST - 5:30 pm PST

40 hours per week - FRIDAYS OFF

Founded in 2013, Rupp Family Builders is a woman-owned, family-run and operated residential construction operation, specializing in six-week kitchen remodels and four-week bathroom remodels.

We have an established plumbing division that has been in operation since the company's founding. The foundation of the business is to provide an in-house tradesman to service our residential construction needs while also providing services to fellow contractors or past clients. There is also room to grow the business with the right candidate.

You would apply your skills set and perspective to help us serve our customers better, and you won't be alone! We have carpenters, mechanical techs, electricians, and cabinetry specialists at the ready on our team, so projects can be completed in a timely and efficient manner without sacrificing quality. Journeyman Plumber Key Responsibilities:
1. Thoughtfully think through the job and plan your work with the whole job in mind, managing your work load to complete projects on time.

Success Metrics: Perform work on site to meet the budgeted work hours.

At least 63% of projects are completed by the originally estimated hours

25% or less of scheduled projects have 1 day or less of overrun in a 90-day rolling period.

2. Manage your schedule/timing with the project coordinators/production manager/Client GC/Residential Client. Update the required contact no later than within 24hrs of the scheduled work of any scheduling changes or adjustments.

Success Metric: Less than 3 last minute no shows, or sudden schedule shifts per rolling 3 month period.


3. Track plumbing related job expenses (labor and materials) and provide accurate time estimates so that projects are completed within the allocated budget.

Success Metric: 100% of plumbing related work completed when totaled budgeted versus actual are all within budget for the jobs completed in the prior 6-month rolling period.

4. Keep the job site organized, tidy, and ready for work the next day.

Success Metric: No more than one homeowner call or complaint regarding the acceptable cleanliness and organization of the project area in a rolling 3-month period.

5. 5-Star homeowner reviews

Success Metric: Keep emergency call backs related to plumbing work from the homeowner to less than 3 in a 12-month rolling period.
