Natural conservation is a job that takes many people to succeed. As a forestry technician, you work under a land manager who helps develop your environmental awareness and build your skills. Daily duties include assessing land for re-growth, gathering information on wildlife, surveying roads, controlling weed growth, and identifying the areas that sustain damage from weather or insects. Basic qualifications focus on physical abilities rather than formal education or experience, which you pick up throughout your career. Long-lasting careers as a forestry technician hold leadership opportunity.
