ย
If you think you would be the right person to join our team working towards this goal, we would love to hear from you!ย

Role Overviewย

We areย seekingย a highly skilled and motivatedย Senior DevOps Engineerย to join our dynamic team and play a key role in designing, implementing, andย operatingย scalable, secure, andย highly availableย network architectures in AWS.ย

This roleย will be part of the engineering organization and responsible for building and managing complex multi-account, multi-region network topologies, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity between services, environments, and cloud regions.ย

As a member of a technically diverse team,ย you'llย pitch in across domainsย like Security and SaaS Opsย at times as well.ย

Please note: This role includes a technical interview where you'll be expected to discuss, review, and troubleshoot code related to infrastructure and automation.
What You'll Do
  • Design, build, and maintain AWS network infrastructure, including VPCs, Transit Gateways, Route 53, VPNs, and connectivity between accounts and environments;

  • Implement and manage secure networking solutions using security groups, network segmentation, and private connectivity patterns;

  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation, integrated with CI/CD pipelines (with ability to understand, explain, troubleshoot, and modify the code you work with);

  • Troubleshoot complex connectivity issues involving DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud services;

  • Partner with Application, Platform, and Security teams to design and support secure, scalable cloud architectures;

  • Monitor network health, investigate incidents, and drive improvements that increase reliability and operational efficiency;

  • Write and maintain automation, tooling, and scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency;

  • Contribute to cloud networking standards, DevOps practices, and operational excellence while ensuring alignment with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST.

What We're Looking For

- Degree or equivalent experience in networking or computer science;ย

- Strong AWS networking expertise (VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, VPN);ย

- Experience with multi-account and multi-region architectures;ย

- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls;ย

$120,000 - $170,000 (CDN) a yearย
ย
Position Type: Current Vacancyย

Magnet is proud to offer benefits such as:ย

Indicators of Success
ย
We're looking for someone who checks off most, but not all, of the boxes listed in "skills and experiences".ย  It's more important to us to find candidates who can display indicators of success through skills they have developed and experiences they have been a part of, than to find folks who have "been there, done that".ย  We want to be part of your development journey, and we'll learn as much from you as you learn from us.ย
ย
How We Work
ย
At Magnet Forensics, we take a hybrid-flexible approach to support your productivity and work-life balance. If you're within a comfortable travel distance to one of our offices, you'll occasionally join us in person. How often you'll come in depends on your department and team needs, typically ranging from weekly to monthly. These in-person moments help us build stronger connections, spark new ideas, and celebrate our successes together. Most days, you can choose what works best for you, while staying in tune with your team's goals.
ย
We're excited to welcome you to our team and look forward to achieving great things together - both in the office and wherever you work best!
ย
The Most Important Thing
ย
We're looking for candidates that can provide examples of how they have demonstrated Magnet CODE in their previous experiences:
ย
CARE - We care about each other and our mission to make a difference in the world.
OWN - We are accountable for our results - while never forgetting to act with integrity, empathy, and respect.
DEDICATE - We put our heart and soul into meeting the needs of our customers and helping them serve the people they protect.
EVOLVE - We are constantly innovating and exploring new ways to work together to make an impact with our work.
ย
Here at Magnet Forensics, we are committed to continuous learning and are focused on building a diverse and inclusive workforce. This commitment will be reflected in our hiring processes and embedded in our values and how we treat one another. If you're interested in this role, but do not meet all of the qualifications listed above, we encourage you to apply anyways.
ย

We are committed to providing an inclusive, accessible recruitment process and work environment. Accommodation is available to all applicants upon request throughout the hiring process. Please contact [emailย protected]ย should you require any accommodations.
