A Forensic Psychiatric Center is a specialized medical facility where mental health professionals evaluate, treat, and provide expert opinions regarding individuals involved in the legal system, particularly those facing criminal charges. These centers assess the mental competency of defendants to stand trial, determine criminal responsibility, and may provide ongoing psychiatric treatment for individuals found not guilty by reason of insanity or deemed unfit for trial.
