What is a force?

Force jobs typically refer to positions within law enforcement, the military, or other security-related organizations. These roles can include police officers, military personnel, security guards, and other professionals responsible for maintaining safety, order, and security. Duties may involve enforcing laws, protecting citizens, responding to emergencies, and conducting investigations. Force jobs require strong physical and mental abilities, as well as a commitment to public service. Training and qualifications can vary depending on the specific role and organization.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a force, and why are they important?

To thrive in a law enforcement role, you need a solid understanding of criminal law, physical fitness, and typically a high school diploma or equivalent, with many agencies requiring police academy training or a related degree. Familiarity with law enforcement databases, body cameras, and communication systems is commonly required, along with certifications like CPR or firearms training. Strong decision-making, stress management, and interpersonal skills help officers effectively manage high-pressure situations and engage with the community. These skills and qualities are essential to ensure public safety, uphold the law, and maintain trust within the communities served.

What are some common challenges faced by law enforcement officers in their daily work?

Law enforcement officers often encounter high-stress situations, such as responding to emergencies or managing conflicts in the community. They must remain calm under pressure, make quick decisions, and communicate effectively with diverse groups of people. Additionally, officers frequently work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, which can impact work-life balance. Collaborating with other public safety professionals and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of laws and procedures are also essential aspects of the role.

Job description

Who You AreBuild the Mission. Shape the Capability.

Turas Technologies is seeking a SIGINT Test Specialist to support U.S. Air Force test and evaluation activities at Eglin AFB. This is a high-impact role for a technically strong SIGINT, RF, ISR, or electromagnetic spectrum operations professional who wants to help build, evaluate, and improve an emerging Air Force mission capability. You will work alongside government and contractor teammates in operationally relevant environments where your analysis, judgment, and technical insight directly inform mission readiness and system performance.

What You'll Do
  • Provide technical support to Air Force programs involving RF systems, SIGINT, electromagnetic spectrum operations, and system performance evaluation.
  • Operate prototype hardware and analyze RF signals and waveforms, including modulation schemes, emitter identification, signal behavior, and collection performance.
  • Support planning, execution, and post-event analysis for test, training, range, and operationally relevant evaluation activities.
  • Assess system emission characteristics, detectability considerations, and signature management performance in representative environments.
  • Develop clear technical documentation, analysis reports, executive-level summaries, and briefings for government and contractor stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, operators, test professionals, and program stakeholders to solve difficult RF and SIGINT-related problems.
  • Contribute to lessons learned, test process improvements, and technical recommendations that help mature a new mission capability.
Why This Role Matters
  • Direct mission impact: Your work helps characterize signals, understand system behavior, and inform decisions that affect advanced Air Force capabilities.
  • Hands-on technical challenge: You will operate prototype hardware, analyze waveforms, assess RF performance, and solve practical problems in real test environments.
  • A seat at the table: You will collaborate across multidisciplinary government and contractor teams and help translate technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Meaningful national security work: The role supports critical test activities while contributing to the development of capabilities that matter to the future force.
What You BringRequired Qualifications
  • Active, current, transferable Top Secret clearance at time of application.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in military SIGINT, ISR, RF systems, spectrum operations, electronic warfare, or a closely related technical field.
  • Strong working knowledge of RF spectrum fundamentals, RF propagation, electromagnetic principles, and waveform characteristics such as modulation, bandwidth, and spread spectrum behavior.
  • Hands-on experience with SIGINT systems, signal analysis, RF collection, RF processing, or related test equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical data, identify operationally meaningful findings, and communicate results clearly in writing and briefings.
  • Ability to work effectively in classified environments and support occasional travel for mission, test, or training activities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting military test and evaluation activities, including developmental test, operational test, exercises, range events, or field experiments.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Air Force or joint test organizations.
  • Experience performing signature management assessments or reporting on signature management performance.
  • Experience with electronic warfare, spectrum operations integration, RF analysis tools, spectrum analyzers, or SIGINT processing systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent operational and technical experience.
  • Prior military service in SIGINT, EW, ISR, electromagnetic spectrum operations, cyber-electromagnetic activities, or a related specialty.
What We OfferHow We Work
  • Mission first, team always: We value technical excellence, reliability, and respect for the people doing hard work in demanding environments.
  • Small-business agility: You will have visibility, ownership, and the ability to contribute beyond a narrow job description.
  • Clear communication: We turn complex technical observations into decisions, reports, and recommendations that program teams can act on.
  • Professional growth: This role provides exposure to Air Force test, RF systems, SIGINT workflows, and multidisciplinary mission development.
Compensation, Benefits, and Work Arrangement
  • Competitive compensation based on experience, clearance, role fit, and contract requirements. Pay range: $102,000 to $139,000.
  • Benefits package: Medical/dental, 401K matching, paid time off, life insurance, training, professional development, and others.
  • Primary work location is Eglin AFB, Florida, with occasional travel in support of test and training activities.
  • Work will be performed in accordance with security, contract, and government site requirements.
Equal Opportunity Statement

Turas Technologies is an equal opportunity employer. Employment decisions are based on qualifications, merit, business needs, contract requirements, and applicable law. We encourage qualified candidates who meet the clearance and technical requirements to apply.
