Our hospital offers the service lines of a city hospital, inclusive of trauma, neurosurgery, cardiothoracic surgery, interventional cardiology, obstetrics and psychiatry, while also building relationships across the organization in a community setting.AHN Forbes Hospital is considering RN graduates for all areas of our teams! As part of our program, all Graduate Nurses are automatically enrolled into our Nurse Residency Program (NRP). This is in addition to nursing orientation, following you through your first year as a nurse.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of the healthcare organization.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilizes the nursing process in providing and coordinating the plan of patient care for the age appropriate population. (30%)
  • Initiates interdisciplinary plan of care based on assessment findings and physician orders for the age appropriate population. (30%)
  • Completes patient documentation in a comprehensive manner and promotes communication between caregivers. (10%)
  • Contributes to Division, Hospital, and Department goals. (10%)
  • Provides detailed and appropriate teaching to patients and families to effectively guide them through the episode of care as well as transition to another level of care and/or home. (10%)
  • Collaborates and supports the development of students, new staff and colleagues. (10%)
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Temporary Practice Permit

Additional Employment Requirements:

  • CPR - American Heart Association
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
