Job description

Join Our Physician Advisor Team!
Parkview Health is seeking a Physician Advisor to partner with clinical, operational and administrative leaders to support high-quality, cost-effective patient care. This role serves as a key liaison between medical staff and hospital leadership, ensuring appropriate utilization of resources while maintaining excellent patient outcomes and regulatory compliance.
Specifics of the Role:
The Physician Advisor (PA) provides clinical expertise in care coordination, length of stay, level of care determinations, patient flow, and appropriate utilization of ancillary services. The PA performs clinical reviews for cases referred by care management and other healthcare professionals to ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with hospital objectives for high-quality, efficient care. This role includes conducting peer-to-peer discussions with payers to support medical necessities, advising attending physicians on hospitalization decisions, continued stay, and resource utilization, and serving as a key resource for the Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) team.
Traditional Role/Days: 5days a week
  • On-call coverage rotation is 1:4 for weekends and is remote.
