JOB SUMMARY

Supervises and coordinates staff in the food and beverage department; assists Food and Beverage Manager with administrative responsibilities; and attends to the service needs of club patrons in restaurant and dining areas.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Promotes, works and acts in a manner consistent with the values of LGM.
  2. Supervises and directs food and beverage staff to meet the service expectations of members and guests as requested by the Food and Beverage Manager.
  3. Conducts meetings, walkthroughs and executes banquets, weddings, private events.
  4. May be responsible to open shifts and/or close shifts as requested by the Food and Beverage Manager, which includes assisting with register set-up and/or closing and proper handling of deposits.
  5. Assists with serving members and guests during course functions in a manner that meets or exceeds the needs and service expectations of the members and guests.
  6. May be required to direct the set-up and/or take down of course events and completes necessary reports for the event.
  7. Assists in staff scheduling and maintaining accurate food and bar inventory as requested by Food and Beverage Manager.
  8. Complies with the terms of purchasing agreements and vendor contracts.
  9. Ensures that food and beverage facilities and equipment are properly maintained and in good repair.
  10. Assists in ensuring food and beverage employees are compliant with health code standards and following applicable liquor laws.
  11. Assists Food and Beverage Manager with training new staff and serves as an example for all food and beverage staff related to providing exceptional customer service to members and guests.
  12. Attends and actively participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
  13. Demonstrates a commitment to the work and success of the club and the Company by being service- and solution-oriented, having positive interactions with all club staff and members/guests, and meeting established quality, service and safety expectations.
  14. Performs additional assignments per the direction of club or Company managers.
  15. Regular and punctual attendance on site for all scheduled shifts is required.


Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  1. Must have knowledge in food and beverage operations specifically in financial controls, staff management and facilities and equipment management.
  2. Ability to provide high level of customer service with attention to detail. Able to plan and coordinate events that provide quality experiences to members/guests.
  3. Understanding of safe food handling procedures and process. Able to direct and maintain a safe and secure environment and operation.
  4. Demonstrates a sense of ownership in the work and a commitment to the success of the club.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. High School Diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
  2. One year of previous experience in food and beverage operations or related experience.
  3. Proficient computer skills and experience with POS systems.
  4. Certified Food Protection Manager (ServSafe Manager Certification)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
