Facility Security Officer Company: Footbridge Federal
Location: Remote, with preference for candidates located in Massachusetts or Virginia

Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview Footbridge Federal is seeking an experienced Facility Security Officer to support the company’s industrial security program and cleared contract operations. This individual will help ensure compliance with applicable government and customer security requirements while supporting personnel security, contract security administration, subcontractor coordination, and internal security processes. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting cleared defense contractors, working with prime contractors and government customers, and managing security requirements associated with classified contracts and subcontractor relationships. This position is remote, with a preference for candidates located in Massachusetts or Virginia. Key Responsibilities Oversee and support the company’s industrial security program in accordance with applicable federal, customer, and contractual requirements. Serve as a primary point of contact for personnel security, contract security, and cleared program support matters. Support personnel clearance administration, including processing, tracking, and maintaining clearance-related records through appropriate government systems. Maintain familiarity with DISS and legacy JPAS processes, as applicable to personnel security administration. Support clearance validation and access coordination for Intelligence Community-related programs, including familiarity with Scattered Castles where applicable. Prepare, review, coordinate, and maintain DD254 documentation in support of prime and subcontractor relationships. Support security requirements associated with classified subcontracting, including security flow-downs, contract documentation, and coordination with prime contractor security teams. Coordinate visit requests, employee access requirements, and cleared program support activities. Maintain accurate security records, internal documentation, and compliance files. Support employee onboarding and offboarding from a security perspective. Provide guidance to employees regarding security procedures, reporting obligations, foreign travel, foreign contacts, adverse information reporting, and related requirements. Assist with self-inspections, audit preparation, corrective action tracking, and internal security reviews. Coordinate with internal leadership, program teams, prime contractors, subcontractors, and government security representatives as needed. Support company efforts related to Controlled Unclassified Information and cybersecurity compliance, including CMMC readiness activities where applicable. Required Qualifications Active Top Secret clearance. Prior experience in an FSO, AFSO, personnel security, industrial security, or similar security administration role supporting a cleared defense contractor. Working knowledge of industrial security requirements applicable to cleared contractors. Experience using or supporting personnel security processes through DISS. Familiarity with legacy JPAS processes. Familiarity with Scattered Castles or other Intelligence Community clearance and access coordination processes. Experience preparing, reviewing, or maintaining DD254s. Understanding of subcontractor security administration, prime/subcontractor coordination, and security flow-down requirements. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate security records. Ability to communicate professionally with employees, leadership, prime contractors, customers, and government security representatives. Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple security-related priorities. Preferred Qualifications Location in Massachusetts or Virginia. Experience supporting Intelligence Community or Department of Defense programs. Familiarity with CMMC, CUI, and related cybersecurity compliance requirements. Experience supporting small or mid-sized cleared government contractors. Experience assisting with self-inspections, audit preparation, security training, and internal compliance reviews. Experience coordinating with multiple prime contractors and subcontract partners. Desired Candidate Profile The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented security professional with practical experience supporting cleared contract operations. This person should be comfortable managing personnel security tasks, supporting DD254 administration, coordinating with prime contractor security teams, and helping maintain a compliant and well-organized security program.
