Position Summary

Game day Culinary Staff is responsible for planning, set-up, food preparation, organization, execution, sanitation, and production of food items for Texas Tech football games and other areas as needed. Responsible for completing all daily and weekly cleaning and production as required by the Executive Chef.

This role pays an hourly rate of $13.00 - $18.00

This is a seasonal role from August 24, 2026, and will end on November 30, 2026.

This position will remain open until November 20, 2026

About the Venue

Located inside Texas Tech's Galaxy Stadium, The Texas Tech Club is responsible for premium food and beverage for all Texas Tech home football games.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for thorough understanding of daily function sheets in order to coordinate set-up of prep and organization of football game food stations.
  • Preparation of and storage of all food items necessary to operation of station in adherence with Health Department standards.
  • Consistent preparation (i.e., cooking techniques, etc.) and presentation based on overall standards, including portion size, of daily specials, salads, entrees, etc. as applicable per work assignment and as designated by Executive Chef.
  • Practice safe food handling and personal hygiene at all times, including professional/proper dress code and appearance standards.
  • Responsible for cleanliness and sanitation of individual work area and kitchen as a whole, including equipment, counters, tools, waste areas, etc.
  • Multi-task and work at an efficient pace to keep up with business needs.
  • Follow instructions well as directed.
  • Responsible for maintaining good conduct and safe working habits in all areas, including the kitchen, and assuring that others are acting safely.
  • Works all Texas Tech home football games.
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of previous experience in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Culinary training is preferred.
  • Health & Sanitation Card.
  • Ability to communicate and follow detailed instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Able to squat/kneel, reach, grasp, push/pull, and twist/bend.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry heavy objects frequently.
