Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New Jersey Driver's License
- Good command of the English language
- Ability to drive and operate non-articulated vehicles up to a 26-foot delivery van with automatic or manual transmission and manual or powered materials management equipment
- Ability to endure frequent standing and stooping, as well as pushing and lifting moderately heavy to heavy things
Position Summary:
The Warehouse Associate I is responsible for efficiently picking, packing, and delivering supply orders, equipment, and materials in a timely and accurate manner, including operating non-articulated vehicles up to a 26-foot delivery van to ensure proper distribution to hospitals or end users. This role ensures the resolution of pick ticket errors, adheres to all established standards and procedures, and provides quality customer service while supporting organizational goals through active participation in performance improvement initiatives and fostering a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
- License/Certification: Valid New Jersey Driver's License required
- Experience: 2 years' experience as a storeroom clerk and/or receiving clerk preferred
- Must have good command of the English language
- Ability to drive and operate non-articulated vehicles up to a 26-foot delivery van with automatic or manual transmission and manual or powered materials management equipment
Performance Expectations:
The Warehouse Associate I is expected to perform a variety of essential tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse and the accurate delivery of materials. These responsibilities include picking and packing supply orders with precision, resolving ticket errors, and delivering equipment, packages, and materials using vehicles up to a 26-foot delivery van. The associate must maintain compliance with safety protocols, including proper handling of sensitive or hazardous materials, and adhere to established standards. Additional expectations include inspecting shipments for damages or discrepancies, documenting inventory accurately, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. The role also requires active participation in performance improvement initiatives, collaboration with team members to meet operational goals, and consistently providing quality customer service. Flexibility in adapting to fast-paced environments and attention to detail are critical for success in this position. The associate will also perform any additional tasks necessary to ensure warehouse operations continue to flow smoothly. Work Environment:
Requires frequent standing and stooping, as well as pushing and lifting moderately heavy to heavy things. Requires working in adverse conditions such as extreme climate conditions and noise. The essential functions for this position are listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
