Job description

Hotel Marketplace Attendant works in the hotel’s lobby café, grab‑and‑go market, or retail shop, combining food & beverage service with guest retail experiences. The role is guest‑focused, requiring both hospitality and retail skills.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Food & Beverage Preparation: Make coffee, espresso, and specialty drinks; assemble sandwiches, wraps, and other grab‑and‑go items; warm up ready‑to‑eat foods.

  • Cashiering: Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system to process credit/debit transactions, handle cash, make change, and process gift cards or certificates.

  • Inventory Management: Keep the market stocked using First In, First Out (FIFO) methods; monitor expiration dates; ensure adequate merchandise supply.

  • Customer Service: Greet guests warmly, answer menu and product questions, assist with purchases, and ensure high guest satisfaction.

  • Area Maintenance: Keep the market and adjacent seating areas clean, organized, and guest‑ready.

  • Merchandise Support: Demonstrate knowledge of products, styling, and pricing; wrap and pack orders for shipping when required.

Job Requirements 

  • Prior customer service experience preferred.

  • POS system experience preferred.
