Food Services Associate
Location: Dunbridge, OH
Position Summary
The Food Services Associate supports the Head Chef and Food Services team in delivering a high-quality dining experience for employees and guests. This role assists with food preparation, service, kitchen operations, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The scheduled hours for this position are 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Candidates must be available to work the full schedule as posted; part-time or alternative schedules are not available for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Head Chef, the Food Services Assistant:
  • Assists with all aspects of preparing and serving daily meals and snacks for employees and visitors. This may include estimating food consumption, meal planning, purchasing ingredients, food preparation, and customer service.
  • Prepares and delivers food, beverages, and snacks for meetings, training sessions, and other company events as needed.
  • Maintains proper food storage practices, including rotating inventory using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method and ensuring food is used before expiration dates.
  • Operates the touch-screen cash register and accurately processes transactions.
  • Washes dishes throughout the day to maintain a clean kitchen and ensure an adequate supply of utensils, cookware, and serving items.
  • Follows all food safety, sanitation, and quality standards. This includes sanitizing work surfaces, labeling prepared food with preparation dates and initials, and wearing/changing food-service gloves appropriately.
  • Performs routine cleaning of refrigerators, ice machines, water coolers, coffee makers, and other kitchen equipment at least twice a week.
  • Maintains clean and organized dining, conference room, and kitchen areas daily. Refills supplies and cleans shared workspaces, including the computer bar and keyboards/screens.
  • Inspects the Courtyard and Southview break rooms daily to ensure cleanliness, adequate supplies, and proper food storage. Checks expiration dates and cleans refrigerators as needed.
  • Communicates inventory and supply needs to the Head Chef and updates shopping and ordering lists.
  • Delivers third-shift lunches to designated locations.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude, openness to learning, and a willingness to receive coaching and feedback.
  • Works with a sense of urgency while maintaining quality, safety, and customer service standards.
  • Functions effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience preparing food for large groups and working with a variety of food types and recipes.
  • Proficiency in safely using knives and commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Experience maintaining cleanliness and organization in a commercial kitchen environment.
  • Strong customer service skills with a welcoming, respectful, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and proactively manage responsibilities.
  • Willingness to work occasional additional hours to support company events and special functions.
Preferred Qualifications
โ€ข Associate degree in Culinary Arts or a related field.
โ€ข Current ServSafe Certification (copy required upon hire) or willingness to obtain certification.
Physical Requirements
โ€ข Maintains a neat and professional appearance. Recommended attire includes black or blue pants or capris (no skirts or shorts) and non-slip shoes. Hair must be appropriately restrained with a hat or hairnet, and nails must meet food-service hygiene standards.
โ€ข Ability to stand or sit for extended periods; use hands to handle tools, equipment, and supplies; and reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch as required.
โ€ข Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
