Your goals and objectives include:
  • Responsible for managing and coordinating all activities of the Food Service Department and the Dietitians, including providing nutritious and appealing meals for patients and facility staff while maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Overseeing supply inventory and purchasing, ensuring proper storage of food and supplies, and leading an efficient food service team.
  • Approves hospital menus, including modified diets, conducts nutritional assessments, and offers counseling to patients and their families regarding dietary plans and nutritional principles.
  • Monitors performance improvement initiatives within Dietary/Food Services and contributes to the development and implementation of patient care plans addressing nutritional needs

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Master's degree REQUIRED (effective 2020)
  • Utah Registered Dietitian(RD) license REQUIRED
  • Food Safety Manager certification
  • Three (3) - (5) years experience in a hospital dietary/food services setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission (JCAHO) Standards, Utah Department of Health, alongside Utah’s specific dietary regulations to ensure all nutritional services meet or exceed quality, safety, and compliance requirements
