Job description

Primary Purpose:

The Food Runner / Server Assistant plays a vital role by supporting servers and the kitchen team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This team member ensures prompt, polite, and professional service, assists with food running, reset tables, stocking, and maintains a high standard of cleanliness and hospitality across all dining areas.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver food to tables using proper seat positions and etiquette, serving ladies first when applicable.
  • Assemble food trays ensuring proper condiments, sides, and presentation are correct before delivery.
  • Greet and recognize members by name, delivering personalized and welcoming service.
  • Assist servers in all aspects of table service including replenishing water, beverages, and bread/butter.
  • Remove soiled dishes and glassware from tables and transport to dishwashing areas.
  • Set and reset dining and banquet tables with appropriate silverware, linens, and glassware.
  • Stock, clean, and maintain all service stations before, during, and after service.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of dining and banquet events.
  • Polish silverware and glassware before and after shifts to ensure impeccable presentation.
  • Wipe down and sanitize chairs, tables, and surrounding areas before and after meals.
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining rooms, patios, and bar areas including collecting trash and clearing debris.
  • Ensure sanitizer buckets are clean and in place during all shifts.
  • Restock ice, beverages, coffee, and other service supplies as needed throughout service periods.
  • Exhibit professional grooming, communication, and service standards at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and service teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to assist with overall service and hospitality standards.

Qualifications:

  • No prior experience required.
  • Willingness to learn.
