We are looking for enthusiastic and service-oriented individuals to join our team. Located in Central Phoenix, the Adobe Clubhouse at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a welcoming golf club atmosphere. We want our members and guests to receive an unforgettable dining experience. In addition to our Restaurant and Market, we will be hosting a variety of banquets and events in creating memorable experiences.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager will oversee all aspects of the Adobe Bar & Grille's food and beverage operation during assigned time period, ensuring exceptional service and quality experiences for members and guests. This is a hands-on position that requires a proactive and engaged approach to managing daily food and beverage operations and leading team.

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities listed below are essential to the employee's position.

Operational:

  • Leadership and Oversight: Direct and oversee all food and beverage operations within the Restaurant, ensuring alignment with the strategic goals set by the Senior Management.
  • Operational Management: Develop and implement operating procedures, policies, and standards to ensure efficient and high-quality service across all Adobe Bar & Grille food and beverage operations, including the beverage cart and halfway attendants.
  • Staff Supervision and Development: Supervise, mentor, and train team members, conducting regular performance evaluations and providing continuous development opportunities. Implement coaching and corrective action plans as needed. Consults with Adobe Senior Management and/or Human Resources, as necessary.
  • Quality Control: Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards. Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance with health regulations.
  • Customer Relations: Address and resolve guest complaints related to food, beverages, or service promptly and professionally. Work with the management team to improve guest satisfaction.
  • Inventory and Cost Management: Oversee food and beverage inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and controlling food and beverage supplies. Conduct regular audits to manage costs effectively and prevent loss.
  • Strategic Scheduling: Manage the weekly staff schedule to ensure adequate coverage and optimal operation efficiency.
  • Cross-functional Training: Participate in cross-training within Banquets to understand the overall operation, providing a comprehensive service approach.
  • Event Management: May oversee food and beverage team during large group outings and special events, ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
  • Reporting and Audits: Conduct regular audits of staff inventories and paperwork, assist with opening and/or closing paperwork, and ensure accuracy in all administrative procedures and processes in a timely manner.
  • Manager on Duty (MOD): Serve as the Manager on Duty for Restaurant operation as needed, ensuring smooth and continuous operations.

Other:

  • Actively participates in meetings and training session.
  • Drafts and formats memos, emails, and reports in accordance with Adobe Bar & Grille guidelines and protocols.
  • Performs all other related duties, as assigned. May be requested to assist with projects from time to time.

Education and Experience Required

Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration or a related field strongly preferred. HSD/GED required. Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in food and beverage management, preferably for a golf club or outlet for a resort/hotel.

Regular attendance is required. Additional hours including weekends and holidays may be required on a regular basis to fulfill duties of position. At times, individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to handle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.

Work Environment

This position primarily works both indoors and outdoors. At times, extreme temperatures may be part of the environment.

Work requires exposure to temperatures sufficiently high to cause bodily discomfort. The noise level is usually moderate.
