Production Associate – Food Manufacturing

Midway Staffing is hiring reliable and hardworking Production Associates for a food manufacturing facility in Akron, OH. This is a fast-paced production environment focused on packaging and manufacturing operations. This position is ideal for candidates who are dependable, have excellent attendance, enjoy working as part of a team, and are comfortable in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.

Location: Akron, OH
Start Date: August 17, 2026
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr
Schedule: Monday – Friday/Saturday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM 

  • Actual start and end times will vary based on production demands.
Overtime
  • Mandatory. Employees must be available to work extended hours, weekends, and additional shifts as needed to meet production schedules.

Job Summary

Production Associates support manufacturing and packaging operations in a mass production environment. Responsibilities include packing products, material movement, maintaining clean work areas, and supporting production lines. 

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Work on production and packaging lines
  • Package products according to quality standards
  • Move raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility
  • Assist with material handling and inventory movement
  • Perform packing and assembly line duties
  • Remove trash and maintain a clean work environment
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety procedures
  • Support production goals and meet daily output requirements
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (10–12+ hours when production requires).
  • Comfortable performing repetitive hand and arm movements.
  • Comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environments.
  • Willingness to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and extended shifts.
  • Reliable transportation and strong attendance are required.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

  • Closed-toe shoes required
  • No open-toe shoes, sandals, or Crocs
  • PPE will be provided by the client
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
  • Refrigerated production rooms with occasional freezer exposure.

  • Frequent lifting, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motions.
  • Production schedules may require 10–12+ hour shifts and mandatory overtime.
