Description

Position Scope 

Due to our rapid expansion, we are seeking an Assistant Engineer in our Modifications Team. The successful candidate will work with an established team of engineers and designers to provide service to our clients on both current and upcoming projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Engineer in modeling/ designing food processing equipment using AUTOCAD and Inventor
  • Regular audit on food processing equipment at customer job sites
  • Assist the Project Engineer in composing and compiling technical reports and forming the database
  • Provide technical support for end users, aftermarket parts and service team
  • Liaise with internal and external manufacturing facilities
  • Assist the Project Engineer in budget tracking and verify actual spending with planning
  • Assist the Project Engineer in reviewing and improving current internal processes and practice
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

Qualifications & Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in food processing equipment design
  • Able to travel regularly to domestic and international job sites
  • Hold class (5) driver's license
  • Strong sense of ethical and personal ownership of work
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, AUTOCAD and Inventor
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Registered or qualified to be registered as Engineer-in-Training or Professional Engineer under EGBC is a must

Candidate with more experience will be considered Project Engineer.
