Principal Solution Analyst - Distribution & Supply Chain Systems

Role Overview
The Principal Solution Analyst serves as a senior technical authority and strategic partner within the Distribution network. This role leads complex, high-impact initiatives involving warehouse, transportation, and enterprise business systems. The Principal Analyst translates business strategy into scalable technical solutions, influences architectural decisions, mentors analysts, and ensures solutions align with enterprise standards, performance, and security expectations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end business analysis for large, complex, cross-functional initiatives across Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
  • Serve as a senior technical liaison between business leadership, solution architects, developers, and vendors.
  • Define detailed functional and non-functional requirements, including data models, integrations, and workflows.
  • Drive technical solution design discussions for WMS, WCS, TMS, ERP, ServiceNow, BI, and related platforms.
  • Lead process re-engineering and automation initiatives across systems and data flows.
  • Establish and enforce standards for documentation, traceability, and solution validation.
  • Perform advanced data analysis using SQL to support root-cause analysis and KPI development.
  • Communicate complex technical findings to executive and senior leadership
  • Mentor Business Analysts and contribute to capability maturity across the organization.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive Business Analysis experience on enterprise-scale initiatives.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with WMS, WCS, TMS, ERP, ServiceNow, and BI platforms.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL methodologies, Solution Driven solutions, integrations, APIs, data flows, and dependencies.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Proven ability to lead in a matrixed environment and influence without authority.
  • Travel up to 20-25% may be required

Preferred Qualifications
  • ITIL certification.
  • Experience with Azure, Microsoft cloud technologies, Power BI, and CRM platforms.
  • Strong technical documentation and system modeling skills.
  • Experience driving enterprise governance and standards.
  • Executive-level communication and presentation skills.
