Position Summary
Magnolia Foods LLC is seeking an experienced Second Shift Food Manufacturing Production Supervisor with 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment. This role oversees all mid-shift production activities, ensuring smooth transitions between morning and night shifts, maintaining production flow, and supporting continuous operations. The supervisor is responsible for enforcing SQF and food safety standards, coordinating staffing, monitoring line performance, and maintaining strong communication across all plant departments. This position plays a critical role in ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency during one of the plant's most dynamic operational periods.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Regulatory and Safety Compliance
  • Comply with OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, SQF, and internal food safety regulations.
  • Enforce safety rules, proper PPE use, and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Support wastewater management and environmental compliance.
Production Coordination
  • Summarize customer orders and plan production runs by shift and line.
  • Maintain and communicate line status (running, cleaning, down) to all departments.
  • Schedule production staff and monitor attendance and punctuality.
  • Guide leads, coordinators, operators, and packers for optimal performance.
  • Ensure breaks and lunches comply with labor regulations.
Quality and Inventory Management
  • Coordinate with QA on product holds and dispositions.
  • Oversee weekly inventories of raw materials and packaging.
  • Accurately post finished goods into NetSuite.
  • Support compliance with quality assurance, SQF, and food safety procedures.
Training and Communication
  • Conduct production employee meetings according to the training calendar.
  • Coordinate operational and safety training sessions.
  • Maintain strong communication with all plant departments.
  • Provide support to production employees and address operational issues promptly.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on department and business needs.
