Position Title: Regulatory Compliance Coordinator
Department: Customer Operations
Reports To: Regulatory & Compliance Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Summary
The Regulatory Compliance Coordinator supports the organization's compliance program by ensuring adherence to applicable food regulations, customer requirements, and internal policies. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate regulatory documentation, nutritional labeling, ingredient statements, customer portal information, and product specifications.
The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, R&D, Quality, Sales, and Customer Service to support product commercialization, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers strong growth potential for individuals interested in expanding expertise in food labeling, regulatory affairs, and product compliance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer portal information
  • Complete nutrition facts panels and ingredient statements accurately and on time using approved software systems
  • Conduct label compliance reviews in accordance with FDA and USDA regulations
  • Develop and review finished product specifications
  • Support and maintain specialty certifications including:
    • Kosher
    • Organic
    • Gluten Free
    • Vegan
    • Non-GMO
    • Bioengineered compliance
  • Review ingredient and nutritional data to support new and substitute ingredient approvals
  • Administer and maintain labels within plant label printing software systems
  • Support internal and external regulatory inquiries and complaints
  • Maintain and improve ingredient nutritional databases to support FSMA and corporate requirements
  • Monitor regulatory developments and communicate potential impacts to products and processes
  • Support new and existing product rollout processes
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and projects across the organization

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required in:
    • Food Science
    • Animal Science
    • Nutrition
    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in:
    • Regulatory affairs
    • Compliance
    • Quality
    • Auditing
    • Risk management
    • or related food industry experience
  • Experience within the food & beverage industry strongly preferred
