Job description

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for supporting and overseeing all aspects of quality and controls which are put in place to ensure the integrity and safety of our product. It is the responsibility of the Quality Control Technician to work directly with Management to uphold quality, food safety, and specifications of the product. The QC Technician follows through on set processes and ensures adherence to good manufacturing practices (GMP), food safety, and product quality standards. The Quality Control Technician must have experience working in cold/freezer environments with temperatures ranging between 30-45 degrees.

Pay rate: $18.00- $22.00
Duties/Responsibilities:


• Responsible for monitoring, and programing critical control points (CCP).
• Responsible for monitoring and product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
• Responsible for performing sanitation verification and allergen testing on equipment and other areas required.• Responsible for the correct recording and filing of all relevant record logs and documentation.
• Ensures the correct products specifications are met during processing.
• Ensures employees are following all Food Safety and worker safety practices.
• Ensures and educates employees on food safety standards.• Collect product samples for Product Development, lab retains and the laboratory when directed.
• Perform inspections of Products, Equipment and Machinery.
• Along with the plant management team, will perform Self GMP Audits of facility.
• Ensure issues are investigated and resolved with necessary corrective and preventative actions.
• Promote quality by enforcing/brought to the attention of any issues that could be potentially harmful to the product itself.
• Calibrate and validate all measuring equipment.
• Contribute to hazard analysis and execution of plan.

Education and Experience:


• High school diploma or equivalent.
• HACCP: 2 years (Required)
• At least two years related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Prolonged periods of walking.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis.
