• Conduct thorough assessments of clients, identifying their social, emotional, and environmental challenges through structured interviews and standardized evaluation tools.
• Develop tailored service plans that incorporate individualized goals, interventions, and methods for monitoring progress.
• Provide direct counseling services to clients, offering emotional support and guidance as they navigate personal crises or significant life transitions.
• Collaborate with clients to customize service plans and connect them to essential community resources such as housing, food assistance, and mental health support.
• Provide crisis intervention services, performing risk assessments, and creating safety plans to protect clients in acute distress.
• Engage actively in outreach initiatives to promote agency services and raise public awareness of various social issues affecting our client population.
• Document client interactions and maintain detailed records in accordance with agency policies and legal requirements.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to share insights and coordinate service delivery effectively.

You will work with a diverse client base, comprising individuals and families from various backgrounds who are experiencing significant life challenges. Your work will profoundly impact individuals facing the effects of poverty, mental health issues, domestic struggles, and other socio-economic injustices. Building trusting relationships will be crucial, and your ability to create a safe and supportive environment will facilitate meaningful change.

• A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited program is mandatory.
• Active, unrestricted state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). Knowledge of state-specific practices and regulations is essential.

• A minimum of one year working experience in a social services setting, preferably engaging with at-risk populations.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and the ability to support clients who may have experienced significant trauma.
• Established knowledge of community resources and systems within Nevada related to social and economic justice.
• Demonstrated excellence in communication, cultural competence, and critical thinking abilities.
