Job description

Apply today to be part of the Wake County's Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) team and  help neighbors access the food they need to thrive. As a Food and Nutrition Services Eligibility Caseworker I, you'll be a vital part of this mission-supporting families, reducing food insecurity, and strengthening our community.

In this role, you will guide residents through the FNS eligibility process, ensuring they receive timely and accurate support. You'll connect individuals to essential resources, provide compassionate service, and help maintain the integrity of this critical program.

Essential Functions
Interview applicants (by phone or in person) to assess eligibility
Evaluate information and determine initial or ongoing benefits
Request and verify documentation according to program policies
Enter accurate data into NC FAST and related systems
Provide referrals to community partners and additional services
Maintain timely, clear documentation and manage caseloads using OnBase
Support teammates by providing backup coverage and completing required reports
Meet established performance standards for quality and productivity
