Job description

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring product quality and reliability through inspection, testing, and measurement at various stages of the manufacturing process. Interprets engineering drawings and specifications, performs dimensional and nondestructive testing using precision measurement tools (including CMMs), evaluates and documents inspection data, and recommends improvements to quality standards. Works closely with engineering, supervision, and production operators to resolve quality issues, set dimensional allowances, manage minor tolerance deviations, and maintain compliance with inspection procedures. Also responsible for gauge calibration, inspection documentation, and supporting continuous quality improvement efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Tests and inspects products at various stages of the production process and compiles data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.

Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.

Selects products for tests at specified stages in the production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics. Checks dimensions for close tolerances, accurate dimensions and specified finishes. Uses various types of precision measuring instruments FROM 1.0000" to 40.0000".

Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.

Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.

Sets up and performs nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products.

Follows all inspection standards and procedures

Advises and assists operators where necessary.

Work with supervisor in setting up dimension allowances and in passing parts with minor tolerance deviations.

Responsible for filling out and filing of various inspection reports as required and forwarding of some reports to various offices.

Perform other inspection practices as required.

Perform and/or coordinate calibration of gages and/or measuring devices.

Operate shop floor and office CMM's

This includes a proven ability to follow established processes, maintain accuracy under varying workloads, and uphold the standards required to ensure parts meet all specifications and customer expectations.

Education and Experience Requirements
