Position Title: Warehouse General Operator
Description

Coastal Pacific Food Distributors is seeking three (3), General Warehouse Operators at our Fife/Puyallup, WA. The Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in day-to-day warehouse operations, handling receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and equipment operation. This position operates primarily in a temperature-controlled environment and requires the ability to comfortably work in ambient, chilled and freezer settings. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and capable of handling physical demands in a demanding environment.

Rate of Pay and Benefits:

  • Starting rate of pay: $24.50 to $25.00 per hour
  • 90 day introduction period step increase
  • Yearly step increase first 3 years at anniversary
  • Yearly annual increases every January

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, label, and stage customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Receiving & Material Handling: Unload, inspect, stock, and organize incoming inventory; load outgoing shipments.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment, including Reach Lifts, Forklifts, and Electric Pallet Jacks.
  • Inventory & Documentation: Conduct routine inventory counts, report discrepancies, complete scanning, and manage basic record-keeping.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace while strictly following company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with team members and perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Work Environment: Ability to work continuously in temperature-controlled environments, including cooler/chill and sub-zero freezer areas (appropriate PPE provided). Ability to work in fast paced warehouse and operate with a keen sense of urgency.
  • Experience & Knowledge: 3 to 5 years of warehouse experience; 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience operating Reach Lifts, Forklifts, and Electric Pallet Jacks (food distribution experience is a plus).
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials for extended periods in a demanding environment. Must be able to lift a minimum of 60lbs.
  • Certifications: Forklift certification is a plus (in-house certification training provided). 3-5 years operating warehouse equipment defined in this posting.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Dependable attendance with the flexibility to work all shifts including required overtime and weekend all based on business needs.
