Job description

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  Supporting the Executive Head Chef with preparation of hot and cold food for breakfast service to the highest standard  Running sections of the kitchen during service  Ensuring a consistently high level of food service at all times through knowledge of menu items and awareness of commodities used, preparation, methods and cooking  Assisting as necessary with stock control and identifying methods for improving food service  Ensuring kitchen areas and equipment are cleaned and relevant health and hygiene procedures are followed at all times The following key criteria and skills are required for this role:  Experience of working in a similar role within a high quality establishment and ability to produce quality food to the highest standard  Ability to run and maintain breakfast service  Current certificate in Basic Food Preparation, Health and Hygiene or similar  Excellent communication skills  Driven with a passion for food and quality produce  Creative with a meticulous eye for detail  Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment and maintain a consistently high standard of food delivery under pressure  Positive and flexible approach to work (weekend and Holidays work will be required)
