DELIVERY DRIVER JOB OVERVIEW
SANWA FOOD GROUP - SANFORD
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Delivery Driver to join our team. This position involves more than just driving – you will be responsible for unloading and delivering products directly to customers in a safe, timely, and courteous manner. The ideal candidate takes pride in excellent customer service and is comfortable performing physical labor as part of each delivery

MAIN JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver products to our customer locations in timely, professional manner
  • Maintain accurate inventory of packages and materials during loading and unloading
  • Load and unload delivery trucks
  • Interact professionally with customers, obtaining signatures and confirming delivery details
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the delivery vehicles
  • Verify delivery instructions and routes to ensure efficient service
  • Perform regular safety inspections of equipment in keeping with company’s SOP and OSHA standards
  • High standard of integrity and reliability
  • Flexible work schedule and availability
  • Assist with warehouse loading and staging as needed
  • As part of your role, you may be required to perform additional duties or tasks as assigned by your manager or the company. Flexibility and a willingness to take on varied responsibilities are essential expectations for all positions
  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • CDL B Preferred.
  • 2 or more years driving experience preferred.
  • Must have clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a drug and background test.
  • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be able to work independently, be responsible for route, and work unsupervised 90% of the time.
  • Must have a clear understanding of the importance of meeting deadlines and commitments.
  • Must be able to performance basic math operations to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Candidates will be subject to all DOT pre-hire requirements
