Job description

You're a writer earlier in your career, but serious about the craft and making your career a long one. You can generate clear concepts but want to work with a crew that can help you level up your writing and concepting, and get to better work consistently.
You're coachable, fast, and willing to write 50 lines to find the one with heat. You're AI fluent and know how to use it to explore and pressure-test, but you know the difference between output and taste. The best work still needs a human brain, a point of view, and someone willing to keep making it better.
What You'll Do
  • Work with art directors, strategists, account teams, and senior creatives to take ideas from brainstorm to final file
  • Turn strategic direction into concepts and on-brand copy for social, video, and digital, from headlines and scripts to posts, body copy, and presentation language
  • Use AI to explore angles, build prompts, and speed up early thinking
  • Edit your own work with care. Structure, rhythm, tone, clarity
  • Get sharper at presenting and selling your ideas
  • Take feedback, ask good questions, and use critique to make the work stronger
  • Stay curious about culture, platforms, brands, and how people actually talk

What We're Looking For
  • About 1-3 years of copywriting experience in an agency, studio, in-house team, or similar
  • A portfolio showing range, curiosity, and a developing point of view
  • Schooling in advertising, writing, or comms. Or a portfolio that proves you learned by doing
  • Strong fundamentals: grammar, structure, clarity, rhythm, attention to detail
  • A real interest in concepting, not just filling copy boxes
  • Comfort writing in different voices, formats, and complexity levels
  • Familiarity with AI tools and the will to keep learning them
  • Low ego, high standards, open mind
  • Willingness to travel as required

Why broadhead?
At broadhead, Copywriters are the backbone of the work. You get a seat in brainstorms, reviews, client work, and the messy middle where ideas get better.
You'll solve business problems and build brands across tech, food, agriculture, health, transportation, and sustainability, industries that shape how people live, work, move, eat, and grow. The work has to be interesting. And it has to be effective.
You'll learn from senior creatives, strategists, producers, and clients who expect thinking, not just sentences. You'll see how ideas move from brief to concept to production.
We're an independent agency with the resources to make meaningful work and a creative department where people get to know you, become invested in your growth, and expect you to contribute.
Compensation Details
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $65,000. Our employees are eligible for a full package of benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. We are a hybrid work company (3 days/week in-office, 2 days/week remote is a typical week at broadhead) with Paid Time Off, paid holidays, and 401(k) matching. In addition, we provide paid parental leave, performance-based bonuses, employee stipends, and gym access. Employees can receive employer contributions to HSAs, FSAs, and Student Loan Debt Repayment benefits.
We are an equal opportunity employer. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
