Job description

We are looking for a Copywriter to join a retail health and wellness team in Chula Vista, California on a Contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who can turn scientific and product-specific information into compelling consumer-facing messaging and informative editorial content. The position supports both product storytelling and long-form educational writing across supplements, wellness, fitness, and related categories.
Responsibilities:
• Create persuasive copy for product pages, packaging, labels, and other brand materials tied to health and wellness offerings.
• Produce article-style content for a quarterly magazine, covering topics such as supplements, nutrition, fitness, and overall well-being.
• Partner with purchasing stakeholders to gather product insights, features, and benefit-driven details for accurate messaging.
• Work with formulation and subject-matter experts to interpret technical or scientific information and present it in a clear, engaging way.
• Collaborate with internal creative and editorial partners to shape content themes, refine messaging, and maintain consistency across channels.
• Conduct research and interviews to build credible, informative content that aligns with brand voice and audience needs.
• Edit and refine written materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, readability, and alignment with marketing objectives.• Experience in copywriting, with work related to health, wellness, supplements, food and beverage, sports, or fitness industries.
• Ability to translate complex scientific or technical concepts into accessible content for consumer and marketing audiences.
• Background creating copy for packaging, labels, product descriptions, or similar branded materials.
