Job description

Be Part of What's Next

Delish is looking for a highly organized, food-obsessed Temporary Community & Operations Assistant to help keep our community, app, and editorial operations running smoothly. You'll work alongside our editors to support everything from app reporting and community engagement to recipe publishing-while finding smart, efficient ways to improve how we work.

About Hearst Magazines (Why Us?)

Hearst Magazines' portfolio of more than 30 iconic brands in the U.S. inspires and entertains audiences across all media platforms. We are a global media company that publishes nearly 200 magazine editions and 175 websites around the world-and together, we are shaping what's next.

Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Prepare and maintain recurring data reporting for the Delish app, identifying trends and opportunities to make reporting more useful and efficient.
  • Build and update recipes, recipe listicles, landing pages, and other food content in our CMS with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Upload and manage video content within the CMS and support ongoing content maintenance across Delish platforms.
  • Monitor and respond to recipe comments, creating a thoughtful experience for the Delish community and escalating relevant feedback and insights to the food team.
  • Explore and apply AI tools to streamline manual processes, improve workflows, and support more efficient reporting and operations.
  • Maintain clear, accessible documentation, project trackers, and Asana tasks that help the community and operations team stay organized.
  • Support day-to-day community and operations needs, including document creation, AI bot creation, data management, and other administrative projects.
  • Collaborate across projects and adapt quickly to new tools, platforms, processes, and team priorities.

Qualifications (What We're Looking For)

  • 2+ years of professional or academic experience in project management, journalism, digital media, or a related area.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for food, cooking, and creating engaging content for food-loving audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through, with the ability to create and maintain clear documentation and systems others can easily use.
  • Strong spreadsheet skills, including experience working with formulas, data organization, and automated workflows.
  • Comfort using AI tools to improve workflows and reduce repetitive manual work, along with curiosity about emerging tools and technologies.
  • Experience with Asana or a similar project management platform.
  • Ability to identify patterns in data, connect insights across projects, and reliably manage recurring reporting and tracking.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • This role is based in New York City and requires working in the office four days per week.

The hourly rate for this role is $25 per hour. This position is not eligible for bonus or commission compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
