Title: Operations Supervisor
Reports To: General Manager
Department: Administration

Summary of Position: In conjunction with the General Manager, responsible for overall business operations at Log Cabin Resort, ensuring that all guests and visitors receive an extraordinary and memorable experience. Provides direct operational leadership across food and beverage, lodging, retail, boat rentals, and guest services.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete location financial management functions including revenue reconciliation, bank deposit preparation, petty cash management, and invoice processing;
  • Responsible for management functions including facilitating team meetings, conducting coaching conversations, assisting with performance management, and providing insights and recommendations regarding staffing needs;
  • Develop new and innovative ways to meet and respond to, the needs and demands of the diverse customer base to increase participation in events, where applicable;
  • Address customer/guest issues and consult/advise the General Manager about appropriate course of action in a timely and professional manner;
  • Work with other department heads on special projects assigned by the General Manager;
  • Create and manage the scheduling process for all staff;
  • Regularly walk the property and check for areas of improvement; interact with customers/guests in a congenial and positive manner; Be visible to guests and employees;
  • Understand the company’s Incident Reporting Process and comply promptly with all related processes and procedures;
  • Support and understand the company’s ISO (Environmental amp; Quality) management systems, policies, goals and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas;
  • Coordinate and oversee special events, group functions, banquets, and catered events to ensure successful planning, execution, and guest satisfaction;
  • Provide operational support and break coverage across departments including food and beverage, retail, lodging, and boat rentals; identify staffing challenges and implement solutions to maintain efficient operations and guest service standards;
  • Coordinate location logistics including receiving deliveries, distributing mail and packages, maintaining communication with vendors and suppliers, and ensuring operational supplies are available to support business needs;
  • Other duties per Duties Checklist and as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse personalities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety, rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence in a professional and timely manner;

Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of POS systems, reservations systems, Microsoft Office, and inventory management practices.

Education and Experience:
Education: High School Diploma required
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university preferred.
Experience: Minimum three (3) years of supervisory or management experience in hospitality, resort operations; food and beverage, lodging, retail, or a related field required.
Demonstrated experience in food and beverage operations required. Retail and guest services experience preferred
