Job description

TC ELEMENTARY Food Service

One (1)   3.5  hr  Food Service Worker 
           Monday thru Friday,    Hours: 10:45 am-2:15 pm
(Hours- Working time are approximate, and may change based on school or student schedule)

Beginning:  Immediate    

Summary description: Under supervision, performs the more routine duties involved in the preparation and serving of food and in the cleaning of kitchen equipment and facilities. May assume additional duties in the absence of the manager. Food

Service Workers receive on-the-job training in the basics of food preparation and cafeteria operation. Nature of work requires sustained moderate physical effort, operation of standard food service equipment, and continuous standing. The work is

performed under the supervision of a cafeteria manager or other cafeteria employee. 

Education, training, and experience: High School or GED diploma required. Completion of the appropriate training programs required for the position. Experience in a supervisory or management capacity in a school or other institutional food service setting and in the operation of a variety of commercial food service equipment required. Experience as a school cafeteria worker preferable.
