Job Summary
This position provides food and beverage service to golfers and guests by operating the beverage cart. Responsible for preparing and serving food and beverages, processing sales transactions, maintaining inventory and cart cleanliness, ensuring compliance with health, sanitation, and TABC regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service to enhance the overall guest experience.
Essential Job Functions
This information is intended to be descriptive of the key responsibilities of the position. The following examples do not identify all duties performed by any single incumbent.
This position has responsibilities that require lifting up to 10 pounds on occasion.
  • Operate beverage and snack cart safely throughout the golf course or facility.
  • Greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Prepare and serve food, alcoholic beverages, and non-alcoholic beverages in compliance with TABC regulations.
  • Accurately process cash, credit card, and mobile transactions.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels and restock products as needed.
  • Ensure carts are clean, organized, and fully stocked before and after each shift.
  • Monitor guest behavior and verify identification for alcohol purchases when required.
  • Follow all health, sanitation, and TABC guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate sales and inventory records.
  • Communicate with clubhouse staff regarding inventory, customer needs, and course conditions.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to promote positive guest experience.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is required.
  • All other duties as assigned by a supervisor/manager within your department/division.

Minimum Qualifications
Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may qualify. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Some food and beverage or customer service experience preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older to serve alcohol.
  • Licenses: Valid Driver's License required. Ability to obtain and maintain TABC and Food Handler certifications if required by assignment.

For city employees who are regular part time (10-19 hours per week) or seasonal hired placed on City payroll, the following benefits are provided:
  • - Public Agency Retirement System: the employee contributes 6.2% each paycheck to this retirement system and the city provides 1.3%. The employee does not pay into Social Security. All of the employees contributions may be withdrawn upon separating service from the city. The City's contributions will not be paid unless the employee retires under the system.
  • Part time or seasonal employees are not eligible for any paid leave or other benefits.
  • Part time or seasonal employees are limited to working only 1,000 hours per 12-month period, unless the seasonal is project based for a specific period of time which is typically less than 12-months.
