Focus Group Panel information

What is a focus group panel?

A Focus Group Panel job involves participating in discussions or surveys to provide feedback on products, services, or concepts. Companies use focus groups to gather insights from consumers before launching or improving a product. Panelists are selected based on demographics and interests to represent target audiences. Sessions can be in person or online and may last from 30 minutes to a few hours. Compensation varies but can include cash, gift cards, or product samples.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a focus group panel position?

To thrive as a Focus Group Panel participant, strong observational skills, clear verbal communication, and the ability to provide honest and constructive feedback are essential, with no formal qualifications typically required. Familiarity with basic online meeting platforms or survey software may be helpful, especially for virtual sessions. Being attentive, open-minded, and respectful toward diverse viewpoints can set you apart in group discussions. These abilities are crucial to ensure meaningful insights are gathered by researchers or organizations looking to improve their products or services.

What can I expect during a typical focus group panel session?

During a typical focus group panel session, you will join a small group—either in person or online—to discuss your opinions, experiences, or reactions to specific products, services, or concepts. Sessions are usually guided by a professional moderator who will ask questions and encourage open dialogue among participants. You may be asked to review products, respond to hypothetical scenarios, or share your honest impressions. The environment is structured to be collaborative and non-judgmental, so all viewpoints are welcome. Most sessions last between one to two hours, and your feedback plays a vital role in shaping business or research decisions.

Are focus group panel jobs legit?

Focus group panel jobs are legitimate opportunities where participants provide feedback on products or services, often in exchange for compensation. However, job seekers should be cautious of scams and verify the company's credibility before sharing personal information or paying fees.

How do you join a focus group panel?

To join a focus group panel, you typically need to sign up through market research companies or online platforms that recruit participants. You may be asked to complete a screening questionnaire to determine if you fit the target demographic and to provide basic contact information. Participation often involves scheduling sessions and may require a willingness to share opinions on products or services.

Job description

Founded in 2017, Upperline Health is the nation's largest multispecialty physician group dedicated to transforming value-based care (VBC). We are redefining how care is delivered by integrating specialty care and primary care into a patient-centered and fully coordinated VBC model - enabling earlier intervention, improving outcomes, and enhancing quality of life for our patients.

By breaking down traditional silos between specialists, primary care providers, payors, and patients, Upperline delivers a more connected and holistic care experience through Upperline Plus, our VBC program. Our providers coordinate patients' care and collaborate across a multidisciplinary team - including physicians, advanced practice providers, care navigators, pharmacists, dieticians, and social workers - to address both immediate and long-term patient needs

Upperline serves patients nationwide, in clinic and at home, delivering expert care in chronic condition management, podiatry, vascular, endocrinology, wound care, primary care, and more.

As we continue to expand, we remain committed to making high-quality, coordinated care more accessible and effective- while creating opportunities for our team to make a meaningful impact on the lives of the patients we serve.

ABOUT THE MEDICAL DIRECTOR ROLE

As we continue to scale Upperline Plus in our regions, Upperline Health is seeking a Medical Director for the Augusta, GA market to advance clinical excellence, strengthen provider engagement and lead clinical value-based care across the market.

With a patient-centered approach, the Medical Director will see a small panel of their own patients, provide clinical oversight and hands-on coaching to Upperline Plus' nurse practitioners, identify market opportunities, improve clinical processes, and lead VBC and population health initiatives - all with a focus on optimizing the care model to improve patients' outcomes and quality of life.

Must reside in the Augusta, GA area.

Approximately 30-50% of time will be spent in the clinic setting.

Required Experience and Skills
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)

  • Active license in Georgia and willing to pursue multi-state licensure if needed
  • ~ 5 years of outpatient practice experience, inclusive of caring for adult / senior, high-risk, polychronic, clinically complex patient populations
  • Clinically practiced in a value-based care model and/or championed programs to improve quality, patient outcomes and reduce risk
  • Previous clinical oversight or coaching of other providers
  • Must reside in market; be willing and able to provide direct care to a small panel of patients and routinely visit clinics and providers within the market
Preferred Experience and Skills
  • Exposure or experience improving or implementing clinical processes, protocols, or evidence-based guidelines
  • Experience or expertise in VBC programs (e.g., Transitional Care Management, Complex Care Management, ED Diversion, Advanced Care Planning, High Risk Patient Outreach)
COMPENSATION and BENEFITS
  • Compensation is commensurate to compensation for similar positions in the region and based on prior training and experience
