About the Role

Viridien is seeking an experienced and proactive Site Operations Manager to lead workplace, facilities, and site operations for our Houston campus. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive work environment while overseeing facilities operations, capital projects, vendor and contractor relationships, real estate activities, business continuity planning, emergency preparedness, and other site services that support day-to-day business operations.

The Site Operations Manager serves as a key operational leader for the Houston campus, partnering closely with business leaders, HSE, Security, IT, HR, and the HPC Data Center Facilities team to ensure the site operates safely, reliably, and efficiently while supporting employees, visitors, and broader business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Facilities Operations

  • Lead the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of office facilities, building systems, utilities, and workplace services.
  • Ensure a high-quality workplace experience for employees, visitors, and business partners.
  • Support business continuity, emergency preparedness, and operational reliability across the campus.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead facilities personnel, contractors, and service providers.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, customer service, and continuous improvement.

Projects, Infrastructure & Capital Planning

  • Manage facility renovations, infrastructure projects, workplace enhancements, and capital investments.
  • Oversee project scope, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder communications.
  • Develop long-term infrastructure, asset lifecycle, and capital replacement plans to support operational reliability and business needs.

Campus & Data Center Collaboration

  • Partner closely with the HPC Data Center Facilities Manager and team on shared infrastructure, utilities, emergency response planning, contractor coordination, and site-wide initiatives.
  • Support alignment between office and critical infrastructure operations.

Real Estate, Vendor & Contract Management

  • Manage relationships with landlords, property management companies, contractors, and service providers.
  • Support lease administration, renewals, occupancy planning, contract negotiations, and tenant improvement projects.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service levels, reduce costs, and mitigate operational risk.

Site Governance, Emergency Response & Compliance

  • Serve as the site's Emergency Response Officer, coordinating emergency preparedness, response, drills, exercises, and recovery activities.
  • Partner with HSE and Security teams to maintain compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Support business continuity, crisis management, risk assessment, and operational resilience programs.
  • Act as the primary facilities and site operations representative to business stakeholders regarding campus operations, projects, risks, and priorities.

Financial Management

  • Manage operating and capital budgets, monitor expenditures, and develop business cases for facility investments.
  • Track operational performance, vendor effectiveness, and cost-saving opportunities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of facilities, operations, project management, real estate, or related experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Strong leadership, project management, budgeting, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing corporate campuses, office facilities, or multi-building sites.
  • Experience working alongside data center, industrial, or critical infrastructure operations.
  • Experience with business continuity, emergency management, incident command, or crisis response programs.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Professional certifications such as CFM, FMP, PMP, IFMA, or similar.
