These jobs typically involve rosters such as two weeks on, one week off, with accommodation and meals provided at the work site. FIFO roles can range from equipment operators and engineers to chefs and medical staff, and are common in regions where mining locations are far from residential areas. This arrangement allows companies to access a wider workforce while offering employees extended periods at home between shifts.
