Job description

As a Utility Technician at Via, you will play a key role in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and functionality of our vehicles. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly through a wide range on the ground tasks.
What You'll Do
  • Support overall fleet health by coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance; shuttling vehicles to/from vendors; inspecting vehicles for cleanliness, readiness and visual appearance and track out-of-service vehicles to optimize fleet supply
  • Perform smaller maintenance tasks (e.g., tire swaps, light repairs)
  • Perform vehicles cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • Assist with the seamless in-fleeting and de-fleeting of vehicles, collaborating closely with Fleet Managers
  • Support the operations team with miscellaneous on-the-ground responsibilities, including maintaining and/or adjusting vehicle equipment and trade dress equipment, organizing workspaces, and assisting with local market initiatives

Who You Are:
  • You take initiative, solve problems on the fly, and love getting the job done
  • A dynamic team player who is willing to wear multiple hats and tackle projects of all types
  • Detail-oriented enough to keep track of vehicle schedules, yet hands-on enough to jump into a repair
  • Practical knowledge of basic vehicle mechanics and diagnostics is preferred (not mandatory)
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical exam.Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check is mandatory. This includes a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no felonies, no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions, and no more than 2 speeding tickets

Compensation and Benefits
  • Final salary will be determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, and skills
  • Salary: $20-24 per hour
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required
