To thrive as a Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) Remote Worker, you generally need relevant trade or professional qualifications (such as in mining, engineering, or construction), physical fitness, and the ability to work long shifts in remote locations. Familiarity with site-specific tools, safety management systems, and certifications like MSHA, OSHA, or site inductions are typically required. Resilience, strong communication, and adaptability are critical soft skills for coping with isolation and collaborating effectively with diverse teams. What is a fly in fly out (FIFO) remote job?

Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) remote jobs are positions where employees travel to a remote worksite, often in industries like mining, oil and gas, or construction, for a set period of time, and then return home for a scheduled break. Workers are typically flown in by their employer to locations that are difficult to commute to daily. While on site, employees usually stay in employer-provided accommodations and work long shifts before flying back home to rest. This arrangement allows companies to access skilled labor for remote projects and gives workers extended time off between work rotations.

Product Specialist (Sales)

Ambrook

New York, NY โ€ข On-site, Remote

Contractor

Posted 16 days ago

Job description

Ambrook helps American family-run businesses become more profitable and resilient.
From volatile markets to climate shifts, independent operators face mounting pressure. While sustainable investments often yield the best long-term returns, they require financial clarity and capital that fragmented legacy systems can't provide.
We are rebuilding the financial infrastructure that real economy operators rely on. By replacing paperwork with modern tools for accounting, banking, and spending, Ambrook gives owners the data they need to prove viability to lenders and the next generation. We empower the stewards of land and labor to make confident investments in their future.
We're a Series B startup backed by Lachy Groom, Thrive Capital, Dylan Field, Thomson Reuters Ventures, Cameron Ventures, and leaders at Notion, Gusto, and Vercel. We're looking for team members to help us untangle the intersection of American industry, climate, and the economy.
The opportunity
Ambrook has grown from a farm-and-ranch accounting tool into an AI-native financial platform spanning accounting, banking, invoicing, and Full Service bookkeeping, and the job has grown with it. Product Specialists don't just close new business. They're product experts who guide owner-operators across many industries to the right plan and configuration and get them successfully up and running. Under our sales-assist model, you'll own the arc from first touch through activation and early expansion, deliver product feedback along the way, and make every interaction build our brand.
While we value proven experience, we're also looking for people who identify with the communities we serve. Maybe you've worked on a farm, in construction, in a trade, or in an industry that serves operators like these. Maybe you've just spent enough time around them to know what they need. Either way, this is your chance. The role is contract-to-hire: we want to give you a shot, and we expect you'll convert to a full-time employee once you hit performance benchmarks.
Within 1 month you'll...
  • Lead Ambrook demos end-to-end, walking customers through the product and closing them independently.
  • Close your first deals and hit your scaled target numbers, putting yourself on a trajectory to full productivity.
  • Get your first customers activated, with banks connected, transactions categorized, and first invoices out, not just signed.
  • Establish deep relationships with your team and cross-functional peers.
  • Master your pipeline and the essential tools (HubSpot, Nooks, Slack, etc.) you'll need to scale up.
  • Embed yourself in the state of small-business finance across our core verticals, building strong intuition about customer needs and audience segmentation.
Within 3 months you'll...
  • Understand the product well enough to answer all but the most technical questions on the fly, and provide detailed, prioritized feedback to our product teams.
  • Consistently hit or exceed quota to help us hit ambitious growth targets.
  • Drive adoption of the fintech and Full Service features that predict long-term retention, so customers don't just sign, they stick.
  • Confidently qualify and serve owner-operators across multiple verticals, tailoring the pitch and setup to the financial realities of each, including:
    • enterprise-level P&L for ag
    • job costing for contractors
    • AR velocity for high-volume invoicers
    • per-property economics for landlords
  • Know the market alternatives you're selling against in each vertical, and position Ambrook clearly against them.
  • Interview, collaborate with, and help train your peers and new team members.
  • Surface regular themes from customer conversations and identify which ICP prospects we can serve without a sales call, so you can focus on bigger, more complex operations.
About you
We love to see proven sales experience, but we're open to a diversity of backgrounds:
  • Direct operator experience. Farm, ranch, construction, or trade. If you can keep up with the daily grind out there, we know you can succeed here.
  • Hospitality, retail, or door-to-door sales. You've handled high-volume, high-pressure environments with a customer-centric mindset.
  • A thoughtful, compassionate, and empathetic approach to interacting with those around you and with the person on the other end of the line.
  • Bonus: experience with product-led growth, sales-assist, activation/onboarding, or channel-partner motions.
  • Bonus: experience in an American real-economy industry like ag, trucking, construction, trades, or property management.
  • Bonus: experience in fintech or accounting/bookkeeping.

Our values
  • Real Talk - We create space for ourselves and others to be straightforward, vulnerable, and accountable.
  • Reach Understanding - We are driven by curiosity and empathy to learn about our customers, team, and world.
  • Be Proactively Resourceful - We are internally motivated and externally empowered to identify opportunities and solve problems.
  • Derisk Thoughtfully - We lean into the biggest risks we face as a company and put in the work to address them systematically.
  • Find the Positive-Sum - We believe in creating incentive structures that align the needs of our company, our customers, and our planet.
