Job description

Accountabilities:

  • This position will be responsible for the safe and compliant repair and maintenance of underground mining equipment.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning (electrical, mechanical and hydraulic) components required in an expeditious manner.
  • Maintain permissibility and repair malfunctioning and down equipment.
  • Lock-out/tag-out equipment at power sources.
  • Maintain records of repair and maintenance activities, preventive maintenance activities and work orders and schedule activities.
  • COs and Tracking Communication
  • Perform other duties as required.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years UG maintenance experience
  • Ability to pass an electrical, mechanical and hydraulic test
  • Able to read and interpret complex blueprints and electrical and hydraulic circuits schematics.
  • Know the standard operating procedures for the installation of electrical power distribution boxes and systems.
  • Know the lock-out/tag-out procedures.
  • Know how to energize, de-energize and operate underground equipment.
  • Knowledge of lubrication and service requirements.
  • Know the Safe Job Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, company safety policies, and applicable rules and regulations.
