Job description

Responsibilities

This position is based at the Honea Path Maintenance and Reliability Center, Honea Path, SC but will require periodic travel to support other PCA plants to provide support, installs or rebuilds. Must be willing/able to fly, out of state travel is required

In shop work will consist of tearing down corrugated box making machines and rebuilding them.

Working as a team with fellow employees.

Be a self-manager when traveling.

Ability to use basic mechanical shop tools, such as band saw, welder, mills, etc.

PCA provides paid training to help technicians advance through the skill levels and achieve higher pay.

Technicians supply their own basic hand tools. PCA replaces worn, broken, missing hand tools.

PCA provides power tools, special and heavy tools.

PCA provides Safety shoes and Safety Glass stipends.

Basic Qualifications

A Technical Degree in the Mechanical Trade field is a plus but not required.

Most work is day shift except when traveling. Approximately 50% of the time will be work in house in Honea Path and 50% travel by plane throughout the country. You will be required to travel some weekends to complete projects as scheduled.

When supporting plants, technicians may be required to work off shifts as part of an install or major maintenance work.

Ability to read mechanical prints is a plus.

Be Authorized to work in the US.

Experience in the Corrugated Packaging or Printing Industry is a plus.
