Role Overview: What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will serve as a dedicated new-business engine for the commercial organization, focused on high-volume lead follow-up, prospect qualification, outreach, and enabling sales directors to efficiently close new business. This position will own top-of-funnel coverage creating a faster new business close cycle. Your work will increase pipeline generation, improve speed to quailed or unqualified lead, and enable Directors and VPs to focus on closing new business, relationship management, and strategic account growth.


Your Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Drive pipeline growth through high-volume inbound lead follow-up, management of sales phone line, personalized outreach, database mining, and disciplined prospect qualification
  • Qualify prospects by understanding travel needs, buying intent, timing, current aviation solution, and fit for membership, charter, and commercial connections
  • Mine internal CRM database for lost members, lost opportunities, referrals, website leads, and other sources to identify new sales opportunities
  • Follow rules of engagement and support auditing rules of engagement to ensure teams work collaboratively and act on what’s best for the business
  • Support Delta lead prioritization by researching, enriching, and qualifying leads for timely follow-up and appropriate sales routing
  • Fill out lead and prospect profiles with relevant account intelligence, contact details, travel patterns, prior engagement, ownership notes, and next-step recommendations for Directors and VPs
  • Schedule qualified discovery calls and meetings for Directors and VPs, ensuring strong handoffs and clear context for each opportunity
  • Own the generalist sales phone line and service-level expectations, including timely response, accurate routing, and clear documentation of inbound inquiries
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach, qualification status, lead source, handoff notes, next steps, and pipeline activity within CRM systems
  • Encouraged by defined activity expectations with clear targets for calls, emails, meetings scheduled, qualified opportunities, and conversion outcomes
  • Partner closely with Directors, VPs, Marketing, and Sales Operations to improve speed-to-lead, lead quality, conversion rates, and top-of-funnel coverage
  • Clearly articulate the value proposition of private aviation, including convenience, flexibility, service quality, time savings, and product fit
  • Provide feedback from prospect conversations to internal stakeholders to improve lead scoring, messaging, offers, sales materials, and overall pipeline generation strategy

What You Bring to the Table: Education & Certification Requirements

We’re looking for someone who has a unique mix of experience, skills, and passion for what we do:

  • Strong communication skills with comfort making outbound calls, writing prospect-facing emails, and engaging leads quickly and professionally
  • High activity orientation with the ability to manage a large volume of leads, follow-up tasks, phone inquiries, and scheduled handoffs
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, Salesforce preferred, including accurate documentation of outreach, lead status, opportunity notes, and next steps
  • Ability to qualify prospects, ask strong discovery questions, and identify opportunities that should be routed to Directors or VPs
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of sales, business development, inside sales, lead generation, sales support, or client-facing experience required; bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

Salary Range & Benefits

At Wheels Up, we believe in fair compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications. The yearly compensation for this role ranges from $57,000 - $67,000, depending on a variety of factors. We don’t typically start individuals at the top of the salary range; your place within the range is based on what you bring to the table. Additionally, you will be eligible for an incentive program (commission), which rewards individual and organizational performance.
